hi

am asking the answer for ff questions;

drawing dimension of the vessel is 3000mm. The nozzle diameter is 500. inside and cross sections of OD are 3092 and 3056 . detail b scale 1:5
is the vessel acceptable?

warm regards

moeti

RE: asme: out of roundness

Assuming Sec VIII Div. 1 - Internal Pressure and that the location of measurement is through this nozzle opening or within 1 ID of it....Yes.

Max difference btw max and min inside diameters is 1% or 30mm, (UG-80(a)(1))
UG-80(a)(2) allows an increase of 2% of the nozzle ID, over the 30mm above (+10mm)

total allowable = 40mm. which is under your 36mm.
