Flanged Carbon Steel Pipe for Ducting
(OP)
Can someone just use a flanged carbon steel pipe for industrial ducting, is this acceptable in HVAC industry standards?

RE: Flanged Carbon Steel Pipe for Ducting
IMHO, carbon steel would be a poor choice for HVAC since there is likely to be internal corrosion due to moisture content if nothing else.
Nothing wrong with flanged pipe (perhaps a bit over the top in terms of strength), but I'd recommend thin stainless or aluminium.
