proper phrase help - replumbed?
(OP)
If I'm talking about a structural post that needs to be made plumb again, should I say it should be replumbed? Or is there a better phrase for that? I'm stuck on it for a report.

Maybe it gets used in the trade but to these ears 'replumbed' implies time spend with a brazing torch and solder.

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)

noun \ˌsi-chə-ˈwā-shən\
: all of the facts, conditions, and events that affect someone or something at a particular time and in a particular place
: an important or sudden problem
: a place or location
I don't think that means the same thing as orientation at all. An object has 6 degrees of freedom. Location fixes 3 of them, orientation fixes the other three.
