Hello everyone :),
I am trying to write a code for FEA of solid structures (steels). Initially I am planning to get nodes coordinates and connectivities from ABAQUS input file and solve them/
For that I am considering 20 noded brick element with 6 dofs per node (three displ and three rotations). I am unfortunately stuck with basics, like in plates and shells theory the displacement is dependent on rotation, should it be?
and should I solve for axial displacements and rotation/bending in two separate sets of equations with different stiffnesses for those?
Please help me out.
