RS Emulate will not start.

Hello,

I am trying to get RS Emulate 500 6.00.00 to run but it comes up with an error 'Invalid RS Linx path, in ICOM.INI or ROCKSOFT.INI, RS Linx must be installed to run RS Emulate.'
I do have RS Linx Classic running (2.54 and 2.59 tried). I have tried the Rockwell knowledge base but with no luck in finding that particular fault.

I am using Windows XP sp3

Any suggestions as how to overcome this will be appreciated.

I suggest contacting Rockwell technical support. One solution might be to un-install RS Emulate, delete all files, and re-install. You also need to add the emulator driver in RsLinx.

Hello DJS,

I have done that with both Emulate and Linx, and switched Linx to application. I think my Linx does have the Emulate driver, there are a couple with 'Emul' in the name
From your response I gather this is not a common problem?
