Dear All,
Can anybody help me for estimation of erection cost based on Inch Dia... ? i have got a bid which describe @ 6500 inch dia of s.s.321- all 16"x Sch 10s piping for prefabrication/ erection (@ 8.5 meter height) / 10%RT/ Hydrotesting and painting (for appearance).. please guide me how to estimate for each category?....The Bid has not given any running meter of piping or weight ? how should i start???
please send your reply based on US$ if possible

RE: Piping Estimation

Hi saachin,
eTaskMaker can estimate manhours required for a detailed field execution plan on erecting new pipe, but you would need to know the lengths of the pipe runs (to know the number of spools/welds). To get a cost estimate, you would also need to know the labor rates for the involved crafts and the material costs (eTaskMaker does not estimate materials). eTaskMaker's pipe erection estimating module was designed to let you generate plans / manhour estimates based off of engineering drawings.
