Automatic Fire Sprinkler Layout LEVEL IV

Automatic Fire Sprinkler Layout LEVEL IV

Automatic Fire Sprinkler Layout LEVEL IV

(OP)
Has anyone taken the new computer based LEVEL IV test for fire sprinklers? It was available, then taken off the site along with LEVEL III, possibly for some test question adjustments. LEVEL III is back as a testing option, but LEVEL IV is still missing.

Does anyone have any knowledge on this?

Thanks

RE: Automatic Fire Sprinkler Layout LEVEL IV

I'm not sure what's going on at NICET. I sent my Level IV packet in at the beginning of this year and all of my paperwork has been accepted and approved. I've called numerous times to NICET to try to get a testing date and the ladies in the office up there couldn't give me a good answer as to why the Level IV tests have been taken away or when they'll be available again. I've heard some scuttlebutt about an extraordinary amount of failures in the new Level III and IV formats and as a result they're revising the tests. That's just hearsay though.

All that said, I just got my payment check returned to me last week with a note attached.

"This refund check has been issued to you for the following reason(s): The Level IV WBS test is still offline so a refund is being given. When it comes back online you can reapply."

The whole thing is extremely frustrating. I'm missing out on a pay raise and a possible promotion by not being able to advance my certification level. Adding to the frustration is the fact that they haven't updated their website with any of this news. That is extremely unprofessional in my opinion.

In the meantime I plan on testing for my CFPS credential. It's better than sitting around waiting...
