Hi I am new here and have a question I am hoping one of you guys or girls can help me with. Ok, I work for a supply company and have a customer (BP) who was requesting the following:

Beam, W12 x 26 A131 DH36 / A-633 Gr C (ABS Mill Certified)

well of course they do not make beam out of that material. Now my task is to find a viable subsitute material. Can any of you help me by suggesting a substitute material for A131 DH36 / A-633 Gr C, that they actually make beam out of? Thank you

RE: Help me please

Tell BP that the item is not available.

Yes they are aware that it is not available. My question is what type of material would be a good substitute to replace what they were requesting? Something that is made into beams.

That website seems to suggest that A992 Grade 50 might be what you're looking for.
Why not call and discuss it with them.
