When running a 27" weld, would you expect to run one continuous bead or would there be a start/stop approach somewhere in the middle?

If this is the type of approach that would be necessary, how would one go about connecting the welds?

1. Work from the first weld to the edge
2. Work from the edge back to the first weld

Any input would be extremely helpful.

It would be helpful for you to explain much more.
What Code??? What testing procedure??? Are you
working toward a predicable outcome???
