Does anyone know anything about a GEC EM85 Turbine? Images?

RE: GEC EM85 Gas Turbine

I might have a performance data sheet somewhere and possibly a brochure. This is a 1950's style industrial gas turbine. I think it has a single combustor. Rating about 5MW I think. Main application was oil pumping and gas compression. I don't think they were used in generating sets. Sites I remember was the Iraq - Syria oil pipeline pumping stations. Gave long service but not very efficient by modern standards. Museum piece!

Yea, I can tell about the museum peice....I am retrofitting the controls on 5 engines in Iraq. I would be happy to get a datasheet.

If you had a manual that you would be willing to lt me have a look at I would think you were even greater...

RE: GEC EM85 Gas Turbine

Hi Lewis

I realise that you posted this a couple of months ago, however I was researching the older gas turbines and came across this thread. Not sure of this helps, but I gather Greenray support these machines, they may have a manual.

Cheers

John

RE: GEC EM85 Gas Turbine

I found my EM85 performance data sheets. These will be generic, but may be good as background information for you. I can upload if you want
