I have installed RISA 3d V8.1 onto a Windows XP computer, but it will not execute. It tries to load but it shows an Xenocode Virtual Appliance Error. I have installed it onto another Windows XP machine and it works fine.

Is this a stand-alone or network version of the RISA-3D program.

I don't know much about Xenocode Virtual Appliance software, so I could be way off. But, from what I read on Wikipedia, it is a method of packaging up programs so that they can be run over the web. Is that true? If so, using such a program (at least with the stand-alone version of RISA) could be considered a violation of the end-user license agreement. There is a good amount of code built into the Sentinel Security system to prevent that type of behavior. So, it would make sense that it would not work properly.

If you are just using the XenoCode software to virtualize the program's registry entries then this could work and would not necessarily be a violation of the license agreement. However, it sounds like Xenocode is having trouble..... Therefore, it would be more of a Xenocode issue that a RISA issue. We could talk about what sort of "virtual" registry entries Xenocode is setting up and why those are working. However, my guess is that most of that information is hidden from the end user.
