Does API cover storage tanks for perforating fluid/well completions?
Does API cover storage tanks for perforating fluid/well completions?
(OP)
Dear fellows,
We are a just-born engineering company in Brazil in the storage tank area. This is my first post and as matter of fact, nowadays, I have more questions than answers. So, in time, I'd like to contribute with my experiencies and grow with the group. Our main shareholder asked us to design a storage tank for perforating fluid/well completions (not mixed yet). Does API cover this kind of tank? Is there a standard for it?
Thanks in advance,
Eng. L.P.Faustini

I know that among the perforating fluid tanks, there will be a clay tank. The clay must be heated and mixers will be used in order to keep the clay homogeneous. Based on that, what considerations do I have to use for the proper design? I'm not sure API-650 will cover it, mainly because of the "clay shake".
