Importing DXF into Catia V5 !!!

I am trying to import a DXF file into Catia v5, space elements only, with no success.
The generated file imports perfectly into AutoCad v14 and other DXF viewers, but I need to import into Catia.

All Catia does is open a Cat Drawing (2d), but all
the elements in DXF are 3D wireframe.

Can anyone help?

Hello,
the interface read in the data only in 2D sorry! see also the CATIA Documentation and under Tools/option Campatibility.
Possible way for you? Read in the data in AutoCAD and wirte a IGES File.

Use the draw to space tool to put the DXF into 3D - you may need a license if the function is not available.

Dear friend

If you have a 3d elements in DXF format you can open the dxf in 2d drawing and then copy the geometry in 2d and you can paste it in sketch and can use it for further modifications
