Would anyone care to share what FEA solution they are using for tank design. Particularly on customizations that aren't usually covered by the off-the-shelf API 650 tank design packages (such as conical bottoms, non-circular manways, legs, skirts, etc).

We are looking to see if there is a package that will do conventional structural steel/concrete frame (and possibly floor slab) design in addition to having shell elements for tank analysis. STAAD was the last application I worked with that had these elements but I think that Robot has the capability to do some shell work as well.
