I have been using Draftsight for some months now and was doing a drawing for an operating manual when I ran into a printing problem which has me stumped. After I upgraded to V1R1.3 I found it to be quite buggy, so uninstalled and went back to V1R1.2. As far as I know the activation code is still OK but most of the drawing was done while I was disconnected from the internet.
Now I find that with this particular drawing any lines, text etc. show up OK on the screen but will not print, either to PDF or a printer. Content that was done earlier on the same drawing prints OK. New drawings and others done previously print OK as well.
I have tried copying into a new drawing (via Windows), changing layers etc. etc. but to no avail. Any suggestions on how I can recover this drawing would be most welcome because at this stage it looks like 6-8 hours of redrawing will be required.
Many thanks.

If you say - print to PDF - what do you mean? I have to print in PDF all my drawings - meaning I save in PDF and then print. I am doing this because print from DS only is in grey (nobody knows how to fix this). PDF files print beautifully.

I don't normally have trouble printing either to a printer or to a PDF file. If you set up your print file to print each colour used in black it should not print in grey. This maybe because it is set to print in a colour and dithering to simulate the colour in greyscale.
I print to a PDF file to transfer to another computer without CAD. Printing to a PNG file works well too if you choose a large raster size (eg. 1600x1200 pixels). PNG files can be inserted into Word documents etc. like JPGs.
With regard to my original problem I have now redone the drawing and put it down to experience.
