(OP)
hi guys ,

this will be my first post on here so hope you can help.

i need to know the diffrances between astm a479 and astm a484 with refreance to 304 stainless steel?

i have searched the net and have found the scope of each spec, one being for boiler and pressure vessel use and the other for general use.

what i really need to know is the exact diffrance, is one stronger or has it had a tighter inspection?

i need this infomation to make the decition if it is possable to use astm a484 instead of useing a479. this is in the aerospace industry so i need to provide evdance of material properties.

any guideance would be very much apreacited.
best regards
ash
