I'm looking for some information on the use Galvanized pipe for Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) service. My guess is galv pipe is not the best choice, however, I am looking for a reference our two (preferably from a book) that will confirm this. Any help/direction would be appreciated. [sig][/sig]

Galvanized piping is not suitable for use in H2S environments. NACE has a guideline for materials in H2S service. The document is MR-0175. Check the NACE web site at to obtain a copy.
