Data Cleansing and enrichment

Data Cleansing and enrichment

This is a longshot, but does anyone know of any free resources/freeware relating to standard descriptiosn for Mechanicla engineering parts etc.

My company is small and cant really afford the massive price tag that the professional data cleansing/enrichment companies are charging to firstly cleanse the data, then provide a tool with pre determined modifiers and abbreviations. I have tried scouring the net, but cant find anything.

We have a Nmaing convention drawn up, but its still open to too much personal interpretation, so the only realy way forward is a "tool" that helps to complie accurate descriptions based on industry standard etc.

Anyone have any thouhgts?
