Literal superscript - exists?

Literal superscript - exists?

Does anyone know if exists somthing like literal superscript in Mathcad? If not, is there any trick to do that?

I have to use variable name consiting of letter C with "(r)" or "(n)" as a superscript - unfortunately, it can't be used in superscript.

Superscripts are assumed to be exponenation or matrix operations.  You can't make them text.  I also don't think that you can use preceeing subscripts or superscripts, dots over variables, or text bars over varibles (you can put a bar over a variable but it is an operator not text).

Thanks for reply, guys. I think I'll go with your approach IRstuff, can't find any other solution.
Speaking of dots over variables, do you guys know is it possible to create a variable with dash over it?(I'm talking about the horizontal line over a variable name)

Idle curiosity, what is wrong with C.r to make it a subscript?  Not perfect, but making it look like a function seems like it would be confusing if you use functions.

I have to do a project where I often use a variable defining soil cohesion which consists of letter 'c' with 'u' as a subscript already and (n)/(r) superscript which distinguishes chracteristic and computational value (characteristic value multiplied by safety factor). Hope you understand it because it's hard for me to explain it in English since there are no English equivalent terms to my native language I could find.
Furthermore (n) and (r) superscript is frequently used on my university, so I'd like to stick to the rules.

What I do a lot in similar situations is c.r[i which makes the variable c (sub) r with the array counter "i" below that.  It is pretty easy to read.  Makes more sense to me than what I do for mass flow rate (m.dotStreamA).
