Position or Proximity Sensors

Position or Proximity Sensors

Position or Proximity Sensors

(OP)
I am looking for an array of proximity sensors 8" x 8" that can detect the path, angle, and speed of an object passing over it approximately 2-3 inches.

I also need a control devise that will analyse the sensors and project 3 images on a display. One as the object enters the 8 inch area, one as the object is in the center of the area and one as the object is about to leave the area.

Can anyone direct me to a company that has something like this or that can build a prototype. The more 'off the shelf' the better.

RE: Position or Proximity Sensors

Suggestion:
This appears to be on a vision side. I went to the
http://www.thomasregister.com
and typed "vision" into "product/service" window.
Then, there were 299 companies under "Machine Vision System" at your discretion to contact. Some of them are very well known, e.g. Siemens.
Alternately, since this is a new field, many educational institutions have "Computer Vision" and "Robotics" departments that are doing research and prototyping in this area. They may find it challenging for some Theses or Disertations.

White Paper – Your Construction ERP RFP Checklist
Selecting business software for a medium to enterprise-sized construction concern is extremely challenging in large part because most enterprise resource planning (ERP) suites originated in the world of repetitive manufacturing and are therefore a poor fit for a project and asset-centric business. However, midsize to large contractors need the predictable, auditable processes that ERP delivers. Download Now
