delayed concrete pours for ICF construction

delayed concrete pours for ICF construction

delayed concrete pours for ICF construction

Is there any harm in pouring an ICW 18' high in 3 separate pours because of inexperience and/or to get increased control?  The below grade walls could be poured, waterproofed and the perimeter drain tile installed, fill sand spread and topsoil placed and packed to gain a much better footing for outside scaffolding, instead of working 18' off the basement floor.

RE: delayed concrete pours for ICF construction

What's an ICW?

If you have an 18' high wall you would probable want to pour it in stages anyway to control pressure in the formwork and to get better compaction.

There should be no problems if joints are detailed and prepared properly.

RE: delayed concrete pours for ICF construction

Can you tell me a bit about detailing and preparing for a succeeding pour?

RE: delayed concrete pours for ICF construction

.....an ICW is an insulated concrete wall as opposed to just the ICF as the foundation?

Research Report - What’s the State of Nonlinear Simulation?
Simulation is an increasingly valuable tool across the product design workflow, but not all simulations are equal. We set out to determine how engineers and product designers make use of specialized analyses, how they incorporate nonlinear simulation into their work and how they rate the available software. White Paper – Data Security and Know-How Protection
Our data is constantly exposed to the danger of being intercepted or stolen as it wends its way over global data networks. Data security measures and measures for protecting intellectual property should not, however, first be implemented when data is exchanged – companies must lay the foundation for these measures within their own organization.
