C-Cube Device Problem

Hi Has anyone had any problems with a C-Cube device (DVX6110) used for MPEG compression suffering from failures?
We have failures on two different types of assemblies, but initial analysis of dead components is proving to be inconclusive.
Details of any previous experience with this device would be much appreciated.
