Heat of mixing calculation for petroleum jelly
Heat of mixing calculation for petroleum jelly
(OP)
Does anyone know how to go about calculating the heat of mixing for petroleum jelly and a specific fragrance/perfume additive? Or where can I get thermodynamic data to perform these calculations. I've tried perry's to find the enthalpy of PJ but didn't find anything. I've also extensively searched the web but I still can't seem to get any answers.
The reason I'm asking, is I'd like to determine the effect of the addition of the perfume to the line, and also determine the temperature change (if any) for troubleshooting purposes.

RE: Heat of mixing calculation for petroleum jelly
My guess is that the blended stream will be the same as a mass weighted averaged of the two incoming streams.
