Can I access the Status Date?

I want to run some extracts by comparing Start and Finish Dates with the Status Date set in the Project Schedule.

Is it possible to access the Status Date rather than having to prompt a User to enter it?

I have searched and can't find it, just wondered if anyone else has done this.
