We have a Mazak with Mazatrol m32 plus control.  Does anyone have success with a protocol that will send and receive both EIA and Mazatrol programs?

The best one I know of is Griffo Brothers.  Search for it on Google.

I have three Mazak lathes with T-plus controllers.  I use the Windows terminal program to up-load and down-load programs. It works fine. I'm not sure if the older 32 model controllers have the same capability.  I would reccomend giving Mazak's headquarters in Kentucky a call.  They have a tech sheet that documents everything you need to know, including the cable wiring. Steveh is right.  If you want the BEST software for Mazak file transfer, it is Griffo Brothers.

The company I work for uses Focal point DNC.

EdgeCam software has DNC software that will send and recieve Mazatrol programs.  We already have a DNC system for EIA. But we have one machine just outside my office that is used for mazatrol. A cable was connected between my computer and the CMT port.  Works fine.  Of course this is just storage no editing.

You can also use MazaCAM software.
They have communication to the Mazaks in Mazatrol
and EIA. They also have an off-line program to allow you
to program directly in Mazatrol but on your PC.
