CATIA V5 PART DESIGN

CATIA V5 PART DESIGN

CATIA V5 PART DESIGN

(OP)
Hi,

Can anyone tell me is it possible to view more than one part at a time without creating an assembly?.  I know this is possible in SDRC I-DEAS, Unigraphics.  Can anyone suggest me the procedure.

Thanks

RE: CATIA V5 PART DESIGN

hi

If you want to see more than one part in part design. then you insert a new part body in the part design and copy paste the required part in the new part body in this way you can have more than one part on the worrkbench at the same time without creating the assembly file

RE: CATIA V5 PART DESIGN

Hi,
You can open several CATPart and see them in separate windows... If you open one CATPart several time in the same CATIA V5 SESSION, you will work on the same geometry in each separate windows...
You can do copy / past from one window to another.
But if you run several CATIA you cannot make copy/past from one CATIA to another.. (i cannot but you may try, i'm running V5 R8 SP5)

Don't forget to have fun ...

Eric
