CPD seminars

I'm looking for seminars near me at affordable fees to get my 3yr. required CPD's. Could even be on-line seminars. Does anyone know of a listing or directory I could consult? I have used AFSA in the past.

RE: CPD seminars

If you are a member, AFSA has free webinars about each month that give 1-2 CPDs.  There is a fire pump one coming up very soon.  Also, NFSA offers several online seminars as well.  You can either do them live on "Technical Tuesdays" or you can purchase them on a CD or DVD to view in your spare time.  The NFSA ones do have a cost associated with them.

Don't forget all of the things you can do for your renewal credits.  72 CPD for work, then, you get credit for being a member of NFSA, AFSA, NFPA, ASCET, etc.  If you have a local chapter close by, you can attend their meetings for CPD credit.  Then, with the online seminars offered, you can also get some there.  I believe you are an active participant in the AFSA forum - if I recognize your screen name correctly.  As such, you could do a search in the archives for NICET.  There was a discussion that one of the participants contacted NICET and stated it would be possible to get a few CPDs depending for participation in the AFSA forum.

I hope that helps.  Feel free to email me if you need any more help.

Yeah that's me on AFSA. I had a computer failure shortly after I found this forum and lost the website address and couldn't remember the name of it. Anyway I'm back.
Thanks for the info. I'm in the process of contacting these places you suggested. NICET's telephone system is off line at the moment. NFSA looks very promising.
Thanks again for the info and the offer of further help.
