Setting the Assignment Owner on a Template in Project 2007

(OP)
We have created a plan template which has generic resources assigned to the tasks. When a project manager opens/saves the template as a plan it keeps the name of the person that created the template in the Assignment Owner column (because it is a generic resource)Once the PM adds named resources as per the normal process it replaces the Assignment Owner with the Resource name. Until then, the person that created the plan has all the generic resource tasks showing up in their My Tasks page on PWA. Is there a way to have this set an the project owner (the project manager)when creating a plan form a template?
