Amusing spouse discussion

Just a little rant. . .

August 2009

MM: Hey, you ought to look into those new state energy laws that are about to take effect and think about expanding [Successful Existing Contracting Business] to include XYZ.

Spouse: Yeah, I'm pretty busy, and I don't know anything about that s**t.

Jan 2010

After observing that the seasonal slowdown is worse than last year and the economic slowdown might finally be hitting us. . .

Spouse: Hey, do you think getting into XYZ is a good idea? (said in tone as if this is a Brand New Idea)

I like family businesses, really, I do.

RE: Amusing spouse discussion

That is funny, I am sure you are going to be supportive of the seemingly new idea lol.

RE: Amusing spouse discussion

Good self control on your part, MM.  Most would have worked that!
