An incredible offer that has not been well publicised is about to come to an end.
Alibre has been offering design pro, normally $999 for only $99 until the end of August. Plus deep discounts on other items. I  only found out about this because I went to their site to check a price for an add on.

RE: alibre pro for $99

Berk, if you didn't have such a good record on eng-tips I'd almost think you were trolling. 2thumbsup

The $99 offer has been well publicized by web media, print media, and bloggers alike.  Also, the $99 deal is for Alibre Design Standard, not Pro.  None the less, thanks for the info on these forums.  It was something I contemplated posting but didn't want to make it look like promoting or selling, which are against the terms of use.

Hi Scott,
Well I guess you are a little close to the action, So I can see why you would not want to do this.

And I stand corrected, It is for standard.
I do not go to the Yahoo site very much,I always seem to get a ton of spam after visiting Yahoo groups.

I had been negotiating with a salesman to buy the program at half price ($499.50)I found the $99 offer on the company web site, and bought the program, on the spot, together with the maintenance. When the salesman called me back, I told him what I had done, and asked him why he had not mentioned this, he said he had no knowledge of the special offer.
I figured if Alibre's own Salesmen Really did not know about the offer, maybe others did not either, so I put the word out.
