I've become enamored by the Curta calculator and started tweeting interesting things about it and pieces of it's history as I come across them:
Does anybody have one of these, and if so, would you be interested in sharing any info? Just looking for more thoughts/opinions/stories from people who have Curtas. Where you got it, do you know anybody who used them back in the day, have you ever taken it apart? That kinda stuff.

Curta calculators used to be very popular among the Time-Speed-Distance road rally crowd.

Set you factor on the rings and give it a crank every tenth or a mile and the correct time for each increment of distance is the result.

I used to want one, but due to the prices never got one.
