Servo Amplifier Control Power
Servo Amplifier Control Power
(OP)
Hi all,
The amplifier I am working with is the Yaskawa SGDH-10DE. It requires 24VDC, 1A (maximum) for the control power. The spec sheet noted that a 24VDC power supply with a double-shielded enclosure is required.
This is probably a very primitive question, but what is a "double-shielded enclosure"?
I specified the IDEC PS5R-C24, which is rated for 30W output. Will this unit be reliable for powering the amp?
Thanks,
wddian

RE: Servo Amplifier Control Power
Main thing is usually good filtering and bonding. Could those two add up to "doubly shielded" in a Japanese/English dictionary?

61010-1 defines
DOUBLE INSULATION has both BASIC INSULATION and SUPPLEMENTARY INSULATION
BASIC INSULATION is anything that the failure of could cause an electric shock
SUPPLEMENTARY INSULATION is addition insulation applied over the BASIC insulation.
This may be the manufacturer reducing their liability.
