High Voltage Sequencer/Chaser
High Voltage Sequencer/Chaser
(OP)
We have an Electroluminecent Lighting product and have been asked to provide a 6 channel sequencer, the problem is the output to drive the Lamp is 260V/500Hz/0.054Ma from out standard 220v inverter. We can only find low voltage products, any ideas on who can produce a product for us.

RE: High Voltage Sequencer/Chaser
You need 260V/500Hz at 54uA? Or 54mA? (You have stated 54,000 amps!)
By "sequencer" what do you specifically mean?

RE: High Voltage Sequencer/Chaser
We need to drive 6 lengths of Lamp 25mm (1") wide by 1.3m (51") long, the inverter/driver is an SD50 unit that drives 50 square inches, only one of the six lengths to be driven at once, we need a unit to sequence of chase between the 6 lamps in a random/programmable order.

The Eye Candy sequencer deisgn would work but we need it professionally manufactured and would prefer to get it done in the UK rather than sub out to the Far East.

I would point out that often 'chasing lights' seem to be all of them ON with one of them OFF and the chasing actually being the 'dark'. Of course this would require five SD50s or one of your larger drivers and a little more complexity.
Doesn't sound particularly hard. The user interface would probably be the the most effort, (unless it's extremely basic). Followed by packaging.
You might want it extensible as the next person in the door may want 7 chasing.
If these aren't seriously cost sensitive you might want to consider some other features as a micro could do many more scenarios than just chase and random with only some additional software.
