We're looking at an elevator casing to be ASTM A500, Grade B but it's not available locally. Anyone out there have any problems or concerns with using ASTM A252, Grade 3 material instead? Corrorsion resistance, strength, etc. any differences to be worried about since this casing will be in the earth for a very long time?
