Motoman NX100 serial communication protocol

Motoman NX100 serial communication protocol

Motoman NX100 serial communication protocol

(OP)
Need to communicate on RS-232 between Motoman NX100 and PLC in order to send to robot job# and some other variables, and to receive readback, error codes, etc.
Where can I find the protocol basic description?
Yes, I know it may be a proprietary protocol. Still somebody may have the information.
No, please do not refer me to Motoman. This is useless from my experience.
Any help will be higly appreciated.

RE: Motoman NX100 serial communication protocol

I have quite a lot of experience using the Motocom32.dll files. This is for the XRC controller however, and may or may not relate to the NX100.

Assuming it does you would need to purchase the motocom32 package from motoman which includes a security dongle to avoid non-licensed use.

You may also try posting your question on www.robot-forum.com .  Lots of robot geeks there who know their stuff.
