how to open a file with extension catdata??

Dear all,

I would appreciate if someone could help me on this subject. I have a catia 4.2.4 installed, and I have received a file with extension catdata. I have renamed the file with extension .model and i have tried to open it directly with catia because i open the file with notepad and inside appears catia version 3, but i have obtained a message "inconsistent data lenght".

The file could be an export file you should import with catimp or the file is transported with a ftp program as an ascii file it should be transported as a binary file.

Hi There,
The file is a catdata file imported by using the catdata copy utility in Catia set the function to model and follow the panel down filling in all the fields by selecting the arrows on the end of each line
