MIL specs

(OP)
Hi ;)

I'm doing some research with one of the aircraft item. I came across with the words "MIL-B-8607" and "MIL-R-81729A".
As what i know the word MIL refers to the Military specs. Where can i get information with those specs? is it downloadable?

RE: MIL specs

It seems that MIL-B-8607 has been superceded by MIL-R-81729A (according to information at http://astimage.daps.dla.mil/quicksearch/basic_profile.cfm?ident_number=7061)

MIL-R-81729A iformation can be found at http://astimage.daps.dla.mil/quicksearch/basic_profile.cfm?ident_number=32642

In the future, search for these (MIL-XXXX) documents at http://astimage.daps.dla.mil/quicksearch/

In order to order the publications, you must register as a for an account as a commercial enterprise.  They will issue you an account number and password and then you can order online.  The documents are free, but you may only order one copy.

Actual miltary spec sections are available at http://www.hnd.usace.army.mil/techinfo/gspec.htm

Hope this helps!

The Assist Online Quicksearch Function (the link for which was given above by Mattman) no longer requires registration to search for, view and save (in Adobe Acrobat "PDF" format) military/government standards.  Militrary Standards not available online (most of them are), can be ordered as described at the site.
