Where can I find information on Safety aspects for Troxler Nuclear Densometers, and what are the constraints on accuracy where testing adjacent to walls or in excavations or on levee edges?

RE: Troxler error due to surface anomolies

Troxler Instruments has that information.  They are located in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Lateral obstructions can create inaccuracies in the results of an nuclear density gage.  This comes from the "rebound" effect of nuclear particles being bounced off lateral surface anomalies (trenches, walls, etc.)and counted by the gage particle counter, thus affecting the density results.
