For AC motor control, I've heard of a thyristor drive configuration called 'Cycle Skipper' . Any Idea what's the control strategy like? Is it just blanking out of specific half cycles so that the frequency changes at the output?

I read about the drive configuration.You will need Adobe to<br>
read them,their site's are very large and some of the white <br>
pages load slow.
