Using MS project with Sharepoint

Using MS project with Sharepoint

Using MS project with Sharepoint

(OP)
We are a small constuction company, and my boss wants to put MS project on our sharepoint 2003 server, so we can update our project progress from anywhere in the office.

I can put a .mpp on the server, but when I try and select "edit file in MS project", it says I need a sharepoint compatible program for that. Is there a work around, or are going to have to get Project server?
