RE: Hardware and software requirements of a CNC System

The system that i have established for a number of different companies. write a procedure that currently covers how you handle cnc tape and log control.

Each tape location (software / hardware )
tape number / rev level, part number rev level, drawing number rev. level (if different from the Part number),
operation number, location of latest program copy. This log should be able to crossreference.  Hard Data Documentation produced from the Eletronic should have the above information also.

You walk up to a cnc operation. The above information should be visable through eletronic or hard data. routing,(set up sheets) all reflect the above information.  Remember the information is to record history so that the next job is run with the same cnc program and set up or a revision necessary to make correction.
