Looking for advice on which material would be most corrosive resistant in an environment where it is in contact with a liquid with a pH of 4.0 but is also being dried out periodically. I would also suggest that the liquid is likely to be around 50 Degrees C in temperature.

The extra 5% Cr in 1.4016 (~ 17% Cr) will give extra extra resistance compared with 1.4003 (~ 12% Cr).

Neither one will be fantastic, but the higher Cr in 430 will make it significantly more resistant.
The lower Cr grade has some advantages, easier to weld, tougher, but you give up noticeable corrosion resistance in return.
