I've asked the forum manager for a new forum called "Flow Assurance" to be put in the petroleum engineering section. It is a growing field, and of increasing importance, particularly in stranded gas condensate fields. i recently presented a conference paper at the APPEA conference in Adelaide Australia on Flow assurance issues, it was well received but I was surprised at the broader lack of knowledge about the issues, particullarly the difficulties faced by long multiphase flowlines. I'm currently working in Norway as half of the flow assurance team on a large FPSO project, the knowledge over here is far in advance to Australia's.

I think a FA forum would be very good, and I encourage others to "second" my request by also asking the forum manager for such a forum by using the "contact us" link at the top right.
