raster images problem!!

raster images problem!!

raster images problem!!

(OP)
Hi,

I've placed a jpeg image as a raster file, but I can't draw on top of it! Everything I do goes behind, and none of the bring to front / send to back commands I can find seem to help.

I'd really appreciate any advice!

Alex

RE: raster images problem!!

Have you used raster manager to make the raster image transparent? Or - what's the color of your line(s)?

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the reply.

I've just tried the transparancy tool. Thats pretty good! Making the white transparent has worked quite well, but it still looks a bit washed out.

The colours I'm drawing with are a mixture really - mostly green and black.

RE: raster images problem!!

Hi,
You might try to adjust the "update sequence" which is an option in the raster manager underneath the settings menu.  The list that is shown is the list of references or raster images attached to your file in the order which they are updated.  Your current file should appear last on this list so that it is "on top" of everything else.

one other way to get the linework on top is to select everything then got to edit then select bring to front.  When ever I work with images I turn em off until I am ready to plot.  Then I bring em in and then bring everything to front prior to plotting.

Thank you for replys!

I couldn't get the edit - bring to front command to work!? I've used it before with fills and other lines, but it didn't want to seem to work with the raster file.

The update sequence did work though! Brilliant!

Thank you very much!

Alex
