could someone please tell me how I can change my simulation in adams view into a animation movie file thanx

view the results as an animation in the post processor, which gives you the option to 'record' it. be warned, the files are enormous

Please see FAQ731-376 for tips on how to make the best use of Eng-Tips.

Note that the filesize is directly dependent on the number of timesteps, but also on the size of the window. Make your animationwindow smaller, and the filesize will be smaller as well.
You also have the option to affect the compression of the avi. Lowering the quality will obviously make the movie smaller.
