Mitsubishi Melsec F protocol

Mitsubishi Melsec F protocol

Mitsubishi Melsec F protocol

(OP)
Hello.
Does anyone have some sort of documentation or just some info about data transsfer between a PC and a Mitsubishi Melsec F (year 1989)?
The point is, that we've got a project - there's an old program, which communicates with PLC through rs232.
We've got the source codes (the program itself was compiled on Turbo Pascal v5.0 and works under DOS perfectly, but since the
PCs are getting old and brake, the company decided to move onto Windows), but all the comments, function and variable names are in finnish.
So, since we're not finnish and the access to the PLC is VERY complicated (it is being used all day long), we need some help.
So... can anyone help us? Maybe someone had some sort of a practice with theese sort of things?

RE: Mitsubishi Melsec F protocol

I have a Melsec F1 programming manual, circa '87, but it doesn't say a thing about PLC/PC communication of any kind. My experience was of the "standalone"  variety at the time. I do recall some talk of PC programmability but we didn't have the capability. Come to think about it, I didn't get my first work PC until '92.

I do have a non-technical, female Finnish interpreter in residence if you can come up with some way to transmit the comments, etc!
