Asphalt Recycling

Has anyone had any experience with infra-red pavement heaters?

RE: Asphalt Recycling

I have extensive experience with infra-red asphalt recycling (hot in-place recycling or HIR)in western Canada as well as internationally. We have used this process in western Canada now for nearly 10 years with good success. It has been used on provincial highways(about 1 to 3 million square metres per year), 7 or 8 airport runways (with a HMA overlay), and many municipal roads over that time. I have been directly involved in 7 airport runway HIR projects dating back as far as 1988.

RE: Asphalt Recycling

I had experince with HIR equipment , Not the Infra Red but the New technology developed by Martec.
