I thought I recentlly read about a VFD that had a built in micro-PLC built to control some local IO. I can't seem to find the article, but I have an appication where this combination would be a sweet solution.

Baker Hughes-Centrilift manufactures a VFD that can be operated both in PWM and six step mode. The VFD is known as the GCS. This drive has built in PLC capabilities. The unit has some on board I/O and an expansion I/O module. If you want more information, I may be able to obtain a manual for you.<br>
