non-slipping surface for bridge

(OP)
In my plan we have vehicles bridges made of steel. When they get wet they become slippery and dangerous for cars.
Is there a standart rough metal plate that can be welded to the existing plates, so the bridge is being treated with minimum closure time?

RE: non-slipping surface for bridge

An expanded metal (steel) could be used, preferably flattened and galvanised. A problem could be the trapping of dirt etc. within the grating. <www.mcnichols.com/products/expanded/>

RE: non-slipping surface for bridge

The only 'metal; bridge decks I have seen are an open web. they require constant attention. Not worth thr risks involved.
