Do any of you have experience with posting a job in the Eng-tips job section? I am not in a position to hire or anything but I know we (A&E firm) are looking for a Sr. RF Engineer and before I suggest posting on this website I was wondering if there was a good deal of "qualified" traffic. We tried monster.com but no one with the right experience responded.

Alas, RF engineering isn't as "Sexy" as it once was. Instead of mundane sinewaves, the allure of ones and zeros has enticed potential RF engineers to "The Dark Side" :-D.

I might suggest that you advertise your position in periodicals read almost exclusively by RF professionals and (dare I say it) amateurs.

1) Broadcast Engineering

2) QST (the Amateur Radio Magazine)

3) Tv Technology

Membership newsletters of organizations like the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) and the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) might also be good places to insert a classified advertisment.

Good luck.

I remain,

The Old Soldering Gunslinger
